  I cannot imagine any day in the last 20 years when any store in Milledgeville gets 12,000+ people walking (foot traffic) by their front door. While festival revelers aren't the typical hardware store customers, with a little imagination I'm quite certain the store would have seen a significant business increase for the day (if not record sales). For starters, there's very little to no seating for festival attendees; perhaps a line of ladder back rockers as attention getters and have folks sitting on the front porch (so to speak). SELL inexpensive fold out chairs. It sure was a sunny day; hats perhaps? I'm not in the hardware business, so I dont have all the good ideas. However, I noticed that almost every other business downtown opened its doors and brought out displays curbside to attract attention and were COVERED with customers. No so with the hardware store. It's sad really to see this complete lack of vision and imagination. Opportunity; missed. Otherwise, I liked the store and will probably go see them sometime... It's tough for an Ace hardware store to exist with others in town and Lowes...
